I bought my PIS two years ago and it has the little bottles that aren't the hard plastic but more the softer plastic.
While we had changed all our feeding bottles, I just thought of the fact that I don't know if those bottles are BPA free or not? Also, how often do you think these bottles need to be replaced? I am using the same bottles with baby#2 and run them through the dishwasher primarily to get them clean. Is it time to change them? Thanks |

I know that all the Medela bottles now are BPA free and I just assumed they always were. The fact that yours are softer plastic suggests that is the case.
As for replacing bottles, I have no idea. It might not be a bad idea to do so. I'm sure others will have more thoughts on that. |
| In my research on BPA free bottles, I read that Medela has always used BPA free bottles, so they are probably fine. |
| They are BPA free. |
| Pat Shelly at the Breastfeeding Center on K Street said that Medela has always had BPA-free bottles. She recommended changing bottles if they become cloudy or scratched as this indicates the plastic is starting to breakdown. |
