Recommend a GYN in DC or N. VA for Perimenopause and Beyond

I am looking for a new GYN. I am 48 and perimenopausal. My current OB-GYN is a fabulous OB, who was amazing during my childbearing years, but my 2 most recent checkups have been frustrating. I tried to bring up issues that are on my mind and clearly related to perimenopause (zero sex drive, slight depression, sleep issues), but he basically brushed them off (recommended church retreats and counseling... hello???). I think it's time to switch.
I am looking for a sympathetic GYN - male or female - who can be an ally to me in the years to come. Preferably in DC or N. VA. Thanks! |

| James Simon is a menopause expert who knows his stuff. He's pricey but you can consult with him and then see his physician's assistants for routine stuff. I saw him once and really valued the advice he gave me, he clearly is an expert in menopause, but I didn't care for his manner and didn't go back. Still, I would recommend him for your issues. |
