Any suggestions on what to pack for our road trip? (3 hours, and then I like to keep some things in the hotel fridge) Anything filling and non-messy would be great. I bake a pizza the night before and refrigerate it. Cold pizza is our favorite road snack. We also bring lots of PBJ sandwiches.
Thanks! |
| How about rice paper rolls? If you have kids, it is a fun activity to prepare them together as well. |
| I bring apples, pears, bananas, raisins as well as potato chips, pretzels, crackers. |
| cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs |
| I always take peanut butter crackers - peanut butter and Ritz. Yum! |
| Combos |
| Mini cinnamon-raisin bagels, cream cheese added at home. |
| Turkey jerky and trail mix |
| Hard boiled eggs...really. I would never think of that ha. You are much healthier than I. |
| For three hours I'd probably bring some pringles and diet coke. |

I have little glad "tupperware" things like this...
http://www.glad.com/food-storage/containers/glad-to-go-lunch/ I put hummus, nutella, ranch, and bean dip in these containers. My kids dip pretzels or veggies (okay I dip veggies). I also find these good for blueberries. I make "chipotle" wraps with rice, cheese and left over meat. |
this is what I bring-also popcorn. I try for lower cal foods bc there is a lot of mindless eating and takes awhile to eat three apples or a big bag of popcorn |
