| There's a Crumbs near my office and I would love to get a cupcake...but can't justify buying a cupcake that would feed a family of 4 for an afternoon snack. Sure, I could get 4 office mates to help me eat it, but why go through all that trouble. Why can't they sell some smaller cupcakes on the side (and not in packages of 18). |
| No idea, but they are huge. I've only tried one flavor (the ubiquitous red velvet) and didn't care for it. Gobs of sickeningly sweet frosting and dry cake. |

| Could it be they are not really selling cupcakes but just cakes? |
|
I have seen small cupcakes at Crumbs.
Personally, I prefer the big ones, myself=) I do not think they are "that" huge. |

Just cut it in half already!

Good question! I felt really ill the only time I ever had one. But americans like huge portions - that's why we are so obese.
FYI, Sweet Lobby in Capitol Hill makes normal sized, delicious cupcakes. |
| Crumbs in Clarendon is always so dry. |
| Love Sweet Lobby! The normal sized cupcakes is one of the many reasons. |
| They have to make up for lack of taste. I was truly disappointed in the one my office got me for my birthday. |
| I think they are terrible. I remember buying one and being SO disappointed, I threw out the rest because I thought it would be wasted calories to finish. |
| They are like the "Cheesecake Factory" of cupcakes. I agree with you OP. I ate one once and was very sorry. God only knows how many calories are in one of those. Honestly, Safeway makes better cupcakes than Crumbs. |
| OP, have you been in? They have had mini cupcakes both times I have been in. It was an assorted pack. |
| Love Crumbs. Moist & delicious (imo.) |
But what if you don't want a pack? What if you just want a normal quantity of cupcake? In Clarendon, go to Bakeshop: better AND smaller. |
