Has anyone else found their post D&C periods to be of a different quality than prior to the D&C? I used to have such a heavy flow and now, 6 months after, it's relatively lighter and a quicker period. Could this be due to the procedure or do you think it's a function of age? Are strong/light periods indicators of fertility? I'm 34 and have had one full term baby (now 5) and one m/c at 10 weeks. Both were easily conceived. Next one isn't proving to be so easy!
I had a D&C after a miscarriage back in September and it took 6 weeks to get my first period after it and I definitely think my periods have been shorter/lighter. I have no idea why that might be! But, I just had a positive pregnancy test, so it didn't seem to affect anything in the fertility department! Hope that's the same for you too.
Congratulations PP! That's happy news.
I had a D&C after a miscarriage in early December. It took almost 7 weeks to get a period, and now I'm waiting to see what this cycle brings. I'm on CD20 and no apparent ovulation yet (from OPKs). We're trying again this cycle, but it's frustrating to think that my cycle could be all out of whack and longer than normal. I'm hoping to get positive results soon, but the waiting is hard! |
I hear the frustration! Yes my period has been different since my d and c. Thought it was just me. Got my period about 8 weeks after and now after two cycles hoping to be pregnant this next one. Good luck to you all!
My period is different too. Shorter cycle, heavier period, not pregnancy. Am going to the OBGYN next week to find out what is going on.
