Infertility Support and Discussion
I have had 5 chemical pregnancies and hopefully this won't be my sixth. I am 16-17 DPO. Does anyone know when a pregnancy isn't considered a chemical pregnany anymore? Thanks.
When they verify the pregnancy via a means other than blood test or peeing on stick - i.e., seeing the sac or heartbeat via ultrasound.
OP-here. Duh! Thank you for the response. All of my other chemicals have only made my period a day or so late (I should never test early but I can't help it). So, I was thiking that since my period was a week late, that was a good thing. Makes sense, though, that it has to be medically verified!
Best of Luck! Some doctors will do ultrasounds as early as ~6 weeks after LMP, but some wait until 8 weeks since that is about the time they should definitely being seeing a heartbeat. I hope this one sticks! I've had several chemical pregnancies as well and it is very depressing. I finally gave up on the HPTs!
