My friend is stuck in a hotel this week for work and under a lot of stress. I'd like to send a small food gift - chocolate or dried fruit/nuts. Any suggestions for a great little gift that won't cost more than $25? Thanks.
Check Harry and David.
If you have the time, you could probably do pretty well at whole foods and send it yourself.

Fairy tale Brownies
Shari's Berries |
Pittman and Davis or Sunnyland Farms (both have websites). Probably would have to spend aroung $30.
That budget is going to be a challenge if you are including shipping cost in your $25 quest. You could look online for some deals at Omaha Steaks (sometimes has free shipping) or google all of the fruit cos. and find one that might have free shipping (it's tough to find after Christmas unless you sort for a free shipping coupon code online). Sometimes popcorn factory has deals.
Cheryl's Cookies
Popcorn Factory also has some cute gifts. If you find a coupon code, you can probably get something under $25.
For that budget, you could call the hotel and ask room service to leave something in her room - chocolate dipped strawberries or a basket of cookies or something - and charge it to your credit card. My husband has done that for me when I've been on tough work trips, and it has been such a nice surprise.
Oh...that's a much better idea pp -- that way no shipping costs.
Even if it were just a pot of coffee, I would remember the gesture forever. You are a thoughtful friend.
