| Any suggestions? Not McDonald's |
| McLean Family Restaurant. It will be packed but the line moves fast. Great diner food. |
|
I will second 9:19's recommendation.
But I gotta add that it is a travesty that there are not really good restaurants in McLean. |
| Mylos in Chesterbrook is also decent, especially if you get the Greek food. My kids love their pancakes. |
|
Are you kidding? Sunday lunch with kids??
OP, that is MY time to relax on my day off with a good book. Please keep your bratty kids out of the restaurant so that I can enjoy my Sunday lunch. Get takeout instead if you want to feed your kids. (tongue firmly planted in cheek) |
| Cafe deluxe right across tysons mall - great place to take kids. |
| Chipotle is open now on Old Dominion. |
| Silver Diner |
Lol |
I suggest this too. Their menu has improved and the quality of food has too. My kids love it there. |
Maybe skip the hotdog, banana and apple juice. |
|
Fyi - someone is reffering to a recent bad experience at the Silver Diner in Clarendon, not the one in Tysons/McLean.
For something more upscale than MFR, you could do J.Gilbert's at the corner of 123 and Old Dominion. They have a Sunday brunch. |
I second this. Relatively new. We found it on the way back from church one Sunday. GREAT coffee. Super breakfast and then all the greek salad stuff too if you want lunch. Kid's meno. |
I've heard it's swamped with people standing outside the door. Haven't been inside yet - is it a quiet sit-down place? Not? |
| We love J. Gilbert's. But our kids were "at that age" last time we tried it and misbehaved over the chocolate fountain on the brunch table - they had never seen one before. Mom and dad usually go there when we need a quiet dinner away from kids. Anyhow, here's the brunch menu. It's pricey but not any more than other Sunday buffets and the food (and chocolate station) went on forever. http://www.jgilberts.com/Locations/823/Menus/Brunch_5.pdf |
