Big bags of rice, flour, sugar, etc.

I know it's cheaper to buy the huge bags of staples at Costco. But where do you store them? I'd have to line the wall of my dining room. Do people really have that much extra room?

Most people who live close to the city don't have the square footage, but if you are one of the folks making the trek down 270 (or similar) each morning than you might. Also, what's with the "must buy 4" at Safeway and Giant these days. Or "buy 3 and get 2 free". I even saw a "must buy 10" the other day. Sheesh, I'm not looking to open my own grocery store.

I buy the enormous bags of rice from Costco. I store them in two plastic containers once I get them home. My family goes through a lot of rice though as it is a staple in my husband's culture.

We created shelves in our basement to store the food. I cook everything from scratch, so it's much cheaper to buy in bulk.

I had an enormous jar of animal crackers from Sam's that I saved and use it to store rice. It only fits a 10lb bag, but still that's plenty.
