Gaithersburg pediatrician

Just moved to Kentlands in Gaithersburg, and ISO a pediatrician for my 2yo. I prefer a laid back approach, not too crunchy but not too quick to prescribe antibiotics. Breastfeeding friendly. Willing to space out, but not skip, vaccinations.

If you are willing to drive up to Germantown, THH Pediatrics is a great practice.

In my experience there, they are very pro-breast feeding, didn't push the one vaccination I turned down, and will work with you on the antibiotic thing. My son had ear infections every 3 weeks or so as an infant, so we had several conversations about the use of antibiotics vs. ear tubes. They prescribe pretty mainstream approaches to things, but I don't think they push. And they definitely work with you and address your concerns.

They also have a D. O. on staff who might be even more open to different approaches. I don't know him well enough, though.

I live in Kentlands too. We use Childrens First Pediatrics in Rockville, right off shady grove road. Also heard good things about Potomac Pediatrics. Know several people in Kentlands who go to one of these two.
