| I think I bought it 6 days ago. Never frozen. Thanks! |
| Smell it and feel it to see if it's slimy. I probably wouldnt use it if it smells off. But Even so, cooking thoroughly sold kill anything harmful. |
| There's usually a date on the package. If it's started turning gray-ish, it's suspect. |
| The date usually says "sell by". How long is it good if still securely packaged up after the "sell by" date. It looked red and we used it - no one got sick. But I am curious how long hamburger meat is good after the "sell by" date. |
| If I wasn't planning to use it by the sell by date, I would just stick it in the freezer. Better safe than sorry. |
| Goes bad really fast. The sell-by date is the date they make it. That should tell you something....I asked the butcher at the store and that is what he said. |
|
throw it out if it's been there for 6 days.
You should always use ground beef within 3 days; if it was previously frozen then within 1 day after it is thawed. |

No. That stuff has got to be disgusting by now.
I won't use it if it's been in there more than 2 days. It usually turns really fast. |
