Anyone else hate the Super Bowl?

| I always have. I could never sit and watch it and not feel bored. Just another reason to over eat and be lethargic. As if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New years were not enough. Now we must have another day set aside for gorging ourselves on crappy food! LOL! Just kidding, I know there are a lot of football fans out there, and I can totally understand why you would watch it. I also have a problem with women who pretend to be all into football. They yell and cheer and drink cheap beer with their men. But if you ask them a question about the game they can't tell you what really just happened. Total pet peeve. |

I used to go to an annual Superbowl party. A group of us would hang out in the dining room and chat and socialize and I would head into the family room with the big screen TV for the commercials.
Even since that friend moved out of town, it's just another Sunday night (although one we usually DON'T plan to go out to eat on). I don't hate it...I just don't care. |

| OP here, let me clarify, I don't wish the Super Bowl any ill will. I just don't care to watch it. I am sorry that my use of the word hate was taken literally. I don't have any anger or disgust with it, or the people who watch it (except women) |

| OP, I have no interest in football or the Super Bowl. We have friends that always host a party and I'm just not into it. Sunday nights are also my night to unwind from very busy weekends so I'm never excited to give up that time to watch a game I don't like and eat bad food. In recent years my DH and kids have gone without me. |
