On Melania generally, I think she likes a costume or an assignment. Maybe it dates from her modeling days. But she seems to go wrong when she misunderstands the assignment (pith helmet in Africa, hamburglar hat for inauguration). I do appreciate the fact that upon becoming First Lady, she traded in all her NYC trophy wife gear for things like double breasted blazers, long pencil skirts with tailored shirts, sophisticated gowns, etc. She understood the assignment to look a little more conservative, professional, mature. She didn’t show up to work in a see through dress with her cleavage hanging out like some people do. I don’t like her a lot but I do give her credit for that (as well as for largely keeping her son out of the Trump circus for so many years).
