If you were provided the opportunity to move from Government Contracting to Commercial, do it?

Curious what people would do considering the whole budgeting issue.

I work with Government Contracts. I came from a large private company that had no government contact whatsoever. It depends on what you think you can do when results are directly related to job quality and performance, not budgetary considerations.

I'd absolutely do it, but not because of budgeting reasons. I used to work in commercial, but now a gov contractor. Though commercial was more pressure and less flexible, I very much preferred the clients.
