Dr. Carol McNeely? Anyone?

I know this is a long shot but here goes...

I just received a call from my dermatologist's office that Dr. McNeely has left the practice. I was supposed to have an appt with her end of March.

I love her so much and I really want to find her (assuming she didn't retire -- she was not that young...) but the practice says they have no idea where she went (yeah right).

Anyone out there with any info at all? Google turned up nothing but links to her old practice (thought maybe I'd find a press release from another practice touting her arrival...)

I do know that she said she planned to get a job up near Friendship Heights if she could find anyone to hire her. HaHa. By law she can't practice within 3 miles of the old office. I think we just have to wait until February to find out where she's landed.

That would actually be so much more convenient for me. I hated having to travel into DC to see her when I work and live in the 'burbs. I'll be patient since my appt wasn't until March anyway.

Thanks so much for sharing! She told me that she was leaving, but wasn't allowed to tell where she was going. She said I could find it online, but this was the first place I could find it. Very helpful and I'm happy for the location.

For those looking for a derm, McNeely is great. I've been dealing with Melanoma, 10 surgeries in 2 years, and she has been very responsive and attentive. I'll definitely be following her to the new practice.

Found her new practice through the American Assoc of Dermatologists website, confirming the Chevy Chase listserve article mentioned above. Just called the new practice, and she'll be starting at Tamjidi next week -- hence no announcement yet and the difficulties finding her on Google. Her name isn't mentioned on their phone line yet, but they're already scheduling appointments for her. Also confirmed that the new practice is medical as well as cosmetic despite the website emphasis on cosmetic.

why can't that practice keep doctors?? Dr. Mikkilineni left there last year too. And there was another one there I used to see as well who left.

She moved to Dr. Tamjidi's office in Mazza and just started seeing patients last week.

Hi there,
I have been going to Dr McNeely since 1995 and love her. She is changing practice and remaining in the DC metro area. Google her in a few weeks. I'm glad she left University Dermatology. The practice has changed into a Perdue Farm, so different than when it was Drs. Elgart & McNeely!!!

I had a very negative experience at University Dermatology with another doctor there. I had an apt to switch to Dr. McNeely but that got cancelled.

Anyone have a derm they like in that general vicinity? I have psoriasis and really need to find someone.

Same thing happened to me. I saw Mikkilineni who I liked pretty well. Then she left. New doctor decided to punch biopsy two moles without looking at the previous reports or looking at them with the dermatoscope... obviously I'd rather be safe than sorry, but she seemed ridiculously unthorough about the whole thing. Then when I went to get the biopsies she came in all rushed and out of the blue said, "So did you want to treat your Rosacea?" I have flushing sometimes due to other autoimmune issues I have. She just really pissed me off. I might trek up to Washington Hospital Center this year - heard good things about them.
