Superbowl food!

I want to make something new and delicious to bring to a friend's party. They're providing a main course, and have asked people to bring appetizers/sides/desserts to share.

Pretty sure I'm making Beer Candied Bacon

Any other ideas for something besides the same old dips and appetizers? Something Baltimore themed?

Baltimore themed food:
Baltimore wings - chicken wings baked and then tossed with olive oil (or melted butter) and Old Bay seasoning - divine
anything crab - crab cakes, dip or soup
shrimp salad sandwiches or mini subs
oysters on the half shell
pit beef sandwiches
sauerkraut
Berger cookies
cupcakes with purple icing
purple jello cups or (shooters for adults)
And of course Natty Boh, hon!

Go Ravens!!!

Why are Berger cookies so delicious?

OP here--thanks for mentioning Berger Cookies. Those are new to me, guess we didn't spend enough time I'm Baltimore when we lived in DC. I think I may have to make those. Definitely something to make for a party, they don't look like something I can trust myself not to eat if there's a whole batch at home.

You can't make them. Berger is the brand name. You have to buy them. They are really good.

There are some copycat recipes for Berger's online. I haven't made this one from King Arthur, but their recipes are usually really good.
