Please read this article and explain to me what Obama has done to this poor man.

| I think he is between saying fed income tax and state income tax and then property tax, etc puts him at paying over 60 cents on the dollar to taxes. Many in NYC are in the same boat. Many are leaving CA for Texas or other states with no state tax. If he moves to TX he saves 14% in taxes right off the bat. |
|
Cry me a river. Obama raised his taxes 3%. That man makes millions of dollars a year for hitting a ball. He doesn't even have to carry his own clubs.
|
The true personality of Dems right here. Class envy. |
|
It is mathematically impossible to pay a 63% income tax rate, even including NY federal state and local taxes.
If you include property taxes, it is mathematically possible since it is a tax without an offsetting income. But the math is absurd. His property tax bill would have to be 8 million dollars. And that means he would have to own 1.3 billion dollars worth of real estate in Rancho Santa Fe CA. His house is regrettably worth a more modest $7 million. So basically Phil Mickelson is mathematically, completely full of shit. But why should we let that get in the way of a good bullshit story? |
| I thought Phil lived in FL. They don't have income tax per se - just tax on investments, I think. He should just get Amgen to give him more money for pushing Enbrel ... Amgen just got that $500 million in the fiscal cliff bill. Phil not complaining about that? Perhaps they already offered to share it with him? |

It says... If you add up all the federal and you look at the disability and the unemployment and the Social Security and the state, my tax rate’s 62, 63%.
I believe it. 50% of my paycheck go to various "stuff" social security, taxes, disability, health insurance. I don't want anybody to feel sorry for me but it's the truth baby! |
| 47% |
They stop collecting social security after the first 100 grand of income.. Unemployment tax stops after the first $7,000. But he made 67 million dollars. So no, it's still mathematically impossible. |
| Clearly he needs a better accountant. Or better math skills |
Sorry, but no envy. I hate golf. But, if you get paid millions of dollars to play a game, you have no business complaining about a 3% tax increase. What do you want to bet that he has been watching too much Fox News and has no idea what his true tax burden is? |
Why? |
| How abou those who work 14 hour days for their entire adult lives for a fraction of that income, and yet have the same tax rate. How " progressive" is the tax system for the top an bottom of the highest earners. I am not saying they aren't "rich" but their is a hide disparity and a significant difference in impact. We would be in an uproar if this same logic was applied at other ends of the spectrum. |
| A recipe for collapse. By 2016 Obama will make bush look like the worlds most interesting man. |
That's what you said last time. You keep pushing out the collapse. |
