Who is your high schools most famous alumni ?

Guy who was drafted early in first round of NFL draft in about '89. Unfortunately, he got messed up on drugs in the NFL and had a disappointing career.

I went to Wash in San Francisco. The most notable alumni are probably Danny Glover and Richard Lui.

I went to Heidelberg American High School, a DoDDS school for Army brats. It was in Heidelberg, Germany. It closed in 2013. Famous alumni include Elizabeth Vargas from ABC news, Ron George who was on the Atlanta Falcons, Eric Zeier who was also an NFL player, and Norman Schwarzkopf. Other famous people who went to high school in Germany at a DoDDS school were Julianne Moore (Frankfurt AHS), Michael Strahan, and Shaquille O'Neal.

(Though, technically, I think he primarily attended in MS and maybe one year of HS.)

This thread got me curious so I looked it up. Turns out Steve Ballmer graduated from my school valedictorian, and I never knew!!

Everyone else is less famous, but since others are listing them. A couple of the most famous pro-athletes are: Chris Webber and Shane Battier.

And, for the DC set (and perhaps more accurately described as infamous depending on your politics), Neomi Rao.

There are more I’m forgetting right now.

You beat me to it, though Bogie didn't graduate. (That qualifies as an alum for fundraising purposes, of course. )

Add Frank Stella, Ming Tsai, Robert Darnton.

Ha! You’re right.

I don’t think many people know him, but I’ll add Chris Hughes to the list. He was one of the Facebook co-founders (had a small part in the Social Network movie). I was briefly friends with him my junior/freshman year, when he was a senior. Nice guy.

I’ll also add Bill Belichick, even though I hate the fact that he went to my high school. I also forgot Oliver Wendell Holmes and Dr. Spock.

Then there are the famous affiliations: George Washington sent his nephews there, John Hancock signed the school’s articles of incorporation, and Paul Revere designed the school seal.
