Arlington is not moving to GA next year. Leadership has stated it several times. The shift to SY will be chaos enough.

Now will they go in 2 years remains to be seen.

Mark it down there will only be two ECNL national clubs in Northern Virginia next year.

ANYWAY.....

Will be interested to see how the McLean vs. Alexandria matchups shake out this weekend. Any predictions?

Haven't seen 2013 Alex in a while but based on previous games I'd assume they handle Mclean who i think have only beat TSJ.

Probably true. McLean 2013 GA is mostly a rebuild since CW and DB actively recruited most of last years team to Union.

McLean wins 2011 and 2010. Alexandria wins 2013 and 2012. Unsure if the older teams

2011’s will be a toss up. The other seem pretty certain.

I can't see TSJ lasting too many more years at they rate they are going. However, I don't know who would take their place.

NVA is essentially Loudoun since it's no longer a partnership with other clubs. Loudoun being part of GA is probably not needed and the current Loudoun team should probably be Aspire. Wouldn't be surprised that if adjustments aren't made for next year once Arlignton and another club join GA to replace TSJ and Loudoun.

Why, in the case of the 2011 team, they just beat NVA 2-0 and in the case of some of the other age teams, same result.

Keep in mind the 2011 team was missing key players playing up that day.

Vegas odds generated after review of past results, including common opponents and McLean TSJSC results, suggest close games:
U17 Alex -115
U19 Alex -110

End result will be Arlington dominating GA South with leftovers who can’t get roster spots at VDA/FVU. Same for Bethesda dominating North pending which ever other Clubs make the move (PDA and FC Delco).

Most MLS Next and GA Girls Clubs are already aligned. PDA, Bethesda and FC Dallas are probably the three most important clubs left to make the move. Arlington and FC Delco do not hold as much weight. It looks like there are around a dozen or so clubs total with Boys MLS NeXT and Girls ECNL nationwide. I actually thought it was a lot more until I researched.

Regardless, it will just level the playing field a little more but ECNL will keep the advantage by a decent margin.

What really needs to be watched is Boys MLS Next vs. ECNL. Seems these two are much closer together than the girls. If Boys ECNL can rip away some MLS NeXT teams, than ECNL Girls could hold on to the large margin of Quality players it has had since GDA.

Time will tell. I honestly think the teams mentioned above will make the move but I also think you see other MLS NeXT Clubs make the move to ECNL/ECNL.

Future forecast is GA grows a little stronger and maybe gets the college split to 60/30/10 vs. the current 70/20/10 but that will take at least 2 more years. Both ECNL and GA aren’t going anywhere, anytime in the foreseeable future.

Delco isn't going GA nor is Bethesda or probably Arlington (I just have no clue since they're not in our league). This "partnership" isn't as strong as you seem to think it is.
