I'm looking for any and all helpful information on Maret. We are looking the school for K and are interested in learning more about the school culture. I know these are broad questions but what are the families like who send their children there? What are the children like? Classroom atmosphere? I know it is popular and very hard to get into (this site has made that very clear) but I would like to know more.

The families are generally liberal though there are several exceptions. I am currently a student in the high school and was surprised when I first enrolled at Maret how connected all the different grades are. Its a very friendly atmosphere where many students feel comfortable. The students, from a very young age are able to take courses in a variety of subjects. You do have to be prepared for the fact that the work load is quite large and that the school is academically rigorous. A great example of how cohesive the school is is the event known as homecoming. Everyone in the school comes together and works together. The high school's community service club works with lower schoolers to sell lolipops for charity. Maret has truly made me a better person and a higher achiever. I highly recomend it. Good luck!
