Any feedback on Reico for kitchen work (design)? And apparently they sell cabinets too? Our contractor recommended them but we've never heard of them. Thanks |
i used them 10 years ago for my condo and they were awesome! i recommended them to friends and they in turn used the same designer/installer team. |
I started with them but their prices for cabinets were outrageous. Plus, I did not like their designs. I went up the street to Kitchen and Bath Depot and got the same cabinets for like 50% cheaper. The guy there had no idea how Reico got to such high numbers! |
We used them to add cabinets to our kitchen when we first moved in...they had done the original ones and it seemed easier. When we did a kitchen remodel recently we used Lowes. They had grat selection and a range of prices; Reico seemed a bit $ for what we wanted to do. |
We used a contractor who used Reico...their contractor pricing is significantly different from retail. They will design and sell to the consumer but at a huge markup, hence the PPs who thought their prices were excessive. If you work through your contractor their pricing is similar to the competition.
I would only use Reico if using a GC for a substantial remodel/moving appliances. For just new cabinets/countertops, I would use the Kitchen/Bath Depot or Lowes, or even Cabinet Discounters. |
I just added a kitchen island with Reico and I didn't feel the price was out of line. They were the authorized dealer for the original cabinets that I wanted to match for the island. They connected me to a contractor who did small jobs and it worked out fine. Maybe it depends on the brands they use. I did notice that the cost of granite at Reico was way high, as it was at Home Depot. The granite was least expensive at the granite warehouses. |
