Was wondering what they're eating in the Capitol today. Here’s what’s on the menu:
|
| 5000+ calories |
| ^^This is not the menu. |
|
It's the one they're talking about on TV as folks are eating it. Got it from the Today show.
Of course Fox is headlining that it's 3000+ calories, because God forbid we don't make it partisan. And as though people are being forced to clean their plates, not permitted to eat whatever is an appropriate portion for them. Geez. I just thought it was interesting what people were eating and drinking. Personally, I'd have picked someplace more interesting than Korbel for the sparkling. |
| I'm hung up on the merlot. |
Oh please. If this is not a special occasion, I don't know what is.
|
Why the roll eyes? I wasn't taking anyone to task, just relaying a factoid I heard on the tv coverage. |
THIS is what you have to say about it? Not "I love lobster" or "Wow, two NY state wines" ? |
| well they do have to walk all the way from the capitol to the white house, they need the calories! |
| I am intrigued by "sour cream ice cream." |
I LOVE lobster. Now, how is that more interesting than a 5k calorie meal? No one cares that I love lobster. |
Unless they know the serving size, there is absolutely no way to determine this. Ridiculous. |
|
When I heard the menu this morning it made me hungry! I'd settle just for the lobster course, maybe with a merlot chaser (since they don't go to well together). And I don't see how it gets to 3000 calories unless the portions are massive and you drink a bottle of wine.
I've had sour cream ice cream - kind of tastes like the greek yogurt ice cream - a little tart. |
| Man that sounds good |
|
I assume the merlot was served with the bison with wild huckleberry reduction.
I feel silly just saying that. Wild huckleberry reduction. But I bet it was good. |
