Okay so here's the deal. I bought this great bathing suit from Lands' End last year that fit perfectly and I just loved the way it looked. I had recently lost a bunch of weight so needed a new suit. Well I just tried it on after booking a beach vacation in a few months and it's too big! Good news I guess that I've lost so much more weight, but now I need another new suit. They have the same one I currently have on sale but not in my size.
This is the suit I currently have and like, in black. (Plus size) http://www.landsend.com/pp/womens-plus-size-beach-living-batik-dot-adjustable-scoop-tankini-top~242511_57.html I am looking at 2 different tops they have in the same style this year. http://www.landsend.com/pp/womens-beach-living-bardot-floral-adjustable-scoopneck-tankini-top~246953_57.html http://www.landsend.com/pp/womens-beach-living-floral-paisley-adjustable-scoopneck-tankini-top~246777_57.html I am leaning towards the black/white option of either top, but not sure. I am still plus size and feel the black is slimming. This will be paired with a (most likely) black swim mini with tummy control. Do you have a preference on which print, and would you stick with black or go for a color? Thanks in advance everyone

| Congrats on the weight loss! I like the first one you posted (second if you count the.one you currently have). I say go with color! Have you looked at any rouche style tankinis? Im 5'4'' and have a shortish torso. Now that I'm chasing a baby around the beach, I've ditched.the bikinis. I've found tankinis that have rouching or some type of styling are more flattering than a straight top that just hangs. |
| OP here. Thank you so much! I looked quite a bit at different styles last summer, so I'm gonna stay with the style I have, since it fit so great! Here's hoping it still works out in a different size. |
| Do you have to wear the skirt? They look good, but the skirt kills it for me, I can't see past it. |
| Op...how old are you and what size? You sound like you could get away with something less matronly. |
| OP again. Yes I need the skirted bottom for extra coverage. I'm still fat and now I have excess skin hanging between my thighs. No one wants to see that! Don't worry, the skirt isn't so bad. |
I didn't mean to say the skin is hanging between my thighs, which sounds terrible, I meant I have extra loose skin on my inner thighs. |

OP - Thanks for the reminder to look at swim suits. I had breast reduction surgery a few months ago and I can't wait to buy a new suit this summer. I'm still carrying some extra weight though so the Land's End options look really good.
I wonder about the skirt. I'd love to cover up my hips/thighs, but wonder if it's just weird. |
| OP here. Lands' End is great for swimsuits, PP. I've been buying from them for years and am very happy. The suits are very good quality. As for the skirt, I prefer it because it gives me more coverage and I don't feel as self conscious as I would in normal bottom. Try one and see how it looks. |
| I have to agree with another poster about the skirt, and disliking it. I get it, you aren't comfortable with your body but the skirt screams, "look at me, I am not comfortable in my body." Be you, wear a regular bottom or even boy shorts would be cute. My grandmother whose skin sags, doesn't wear a skirt. |
| I have the black swim mini with tummy control and like it a lot. |
| Hey! They have mastectomy swimsuits! I am going to buy one for my aunt for her bday! |
Yes but wearing the skirt is what makes me feel comfortable in a bathing suit. I don't care what other people are thinking. |

Thank you! I appreciate your suggestion, but the Miraclesuit is out of my price range and I really do like the Lands' End suits and think they look nice on me. |
