For those who took Prometrium in early pregnancy

| I stopped Prometrium at week 8 and 4 days later I got a brownish discharge that lasted 1 day (only visible when I wipe). I also noticed that my nausea ceased and my breast felt less enlarged. Of course I freaked out and went for an US and the baby looked fine and we saw a strong heartbeat. My nausea seems to be back and my breast are very sore at the moment and the spotting is gone (except for an ocasionally tiny brownish mucus when I wipe). Does any of you went through something similar? I feel that perhaps my body is adjusting to the change is the leves of progesterone, could this be it? Also, should I have continue with prometrium until 12 weeks (everywere I read it says until 12 weeks where the placenta takes over), but my doctor said stop at week 8. Thanks for any input. |

Everyone I've talked to that took prometrium was on it for the first trimester. Maybe confirm with your doc about the 8 weeks.

| My symptoms were the same as yours. Went off them and spotted brown for a couple days. I was on it for the full 12 weeks. Boobs are now tender again. |

| I stopped it around 9 weeks(per my doc). Never noticed any spotting but some of my morning sickness did start to ease up around then |
