| Has anyone ever taken Cymblata for chronic pain? My primary suggested it to treat fibromyalgia and I'm hesitant because why take an antidepressant when I'm not depressed. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks! |

It is supposed to be good for pain for pain for fibromyalgia. Lots of people get great results. Didn't do a thing for fibro pain, so I think it really depends on how you react to it.
Good luck. |
| It worked wonders on my chronic pain. However it made me sluggish during the day. I also had a very strong desire to kill myself. |
| I took it last summer for joint pain and it didnt help at all. It made me so constipated that i was doing overnight laxatives and even those took a few days. That said, it worked really well as anti-depressent/anxiety med. Didnt realize i needed that until being on it. Troubles melted away and general life stuff was quite chill - strange feeling to be honest. Ditched it ultimately bc of the poo troubles and bc it didnt work for the intended purpose. |
It made me depressed, too! |
| Stay away from off label pharma marketing. It's based on economics not science. |
| So...what IS good for chronic pain, asks this osteo-arthritis sufferer. |
| Advil. It's been well tested and no pharmaco or MD can profit much off your use of it. |
Cymbalta is not off label for fibro or arthritis. Perhaps you should read the label more carefully. |
| It's a strong drug with lots of side effects. I prefer Advil |
Yoga. Regularly. |
| Yoga is not for everyone, but it may be worth a try, OP. If you are in NoVA, the Lorton Workhouse has a great gentle yoga class. Unfortunately, it didn't help me, but I know it helps a lot of others. |
| OP here. I've tried yoga, it's great for building core body strength but doesn't really give any pain relief. To the person saying take Advil, you must not live with chronic pain on a daily basis. I'm only 26 years old, I need to function and live a fulfilling life. Thanks to the others for the feedback. |
| Acupuncture also helps. |
