We are expecting our second soon and won't have nearly as much help. I'm going to be stocking the freezer and I'm looking for your favorite freezer meal recipes - I'm hoping to do double batches so we can eat and prep for next month.

| Consider some options without dairy in case there are tolerance issues. One good option is to premarinade and freeze meats, can thaw and pop in oven or grill. |

+1 the suggestion to limit dairy, just in case (I had looooots of lasagna that we couldn't eat
roast two chickens at one time, cool, pull the meat off the bones. Freeze in meal size portions - great for adding to pasta or making a casserole. breakfast burritos - eggs with bacon, sausage, spinach, sundried tomatoes, etc. Make sure the filling isn't too wet or the microwaved revived ones will be soggy. Freeze individually on a sheet, then tumble together in a gallon ziploc. Do you have a crockpot? I have never done this, but always meant to - get some of those crockpot liner things. Fill them with (Frozen) crockpot items ie: freeze short ribs, potatoes, carrots, and ice cubes of broth Then put it in a freezer bag. WHen you want to make it, just pop the whole thing (minus the freezer bag) into the ccrockpot. The frozen stuff will defrost - start it early - and then cleanup is easy! |
