Web site seems to be hanging

On submits, maybe also on page loads. Saw a big blip at 3:13PM. Pretty sure my clock is accurate. If you are having trouble and want observations, post with some info on what to look for.

Agree. Page loads are extremely slow.

I'm looking into it. I think it is spammers spidering the site. I see lots of unusual requests that are loading up the database and also the front end application server (which should have a very light load on it).

I usually hit open in new tab on a bunch of topics that interest me, then read each one a little later. Some tabs are being redirected to some spam site.

If you can provide an example of a link that redirected, that would be great.

I'll try to get it to repeat the problem. They're not showing up in history because I close them before the finish redirecting, I believe. Not exactly sure.
