| I've recently started running after a long hiatus (pregnancy + about a year post-partum). I'm having some pain in my knees. I know I need new running shoes, but I also wear orthotics for flat feet and I haven't gotten new ones in FAR too long. Should I see a podiatrist because the orthotics are for my feet, or a sports medicine doctor because the pain is not in my feet? Any good recommendations in Maryland (MoCo)? |

Dr John Senatore.
I've seen podiatrists all over MD, DC, VA, and FL. The only good podiatrist I have found who is competent to make really good orthotics is Dr Senatore in Baltimore, and it is well worth the drive. (and I am a Washingtonian). Trust me. I think he may even have his own brand or something. |
| OP here - thanks for the recommendation! So you think podiatrist is the way to go, rather than sports med? |
