Name your tester and the scores they gave (give)

Just the name and the WPPSI scores.

No thanks.

Because 10 or even 15 test scores administered by 10-15 testers to 10-15 kids of widely varying abilities is going to show what, exactly?

Isn't everyone just going to say 99.9 anyway? That's the only score possible on DCUM isn't it? I'd love to really know what DC area scores really look like (couldn't care less about testers), but that doesn't seem possible.

Is someone giving away scores?

We had to pay about 350...

We paid $500 to find out DD was average. Saved us a boatload in private school tuition.

OP, if your DC is not bright, it does not matter who they are tested by, they will not get the high 90 percentile. You cannot hide their IQ.

Everyone on DCUM gets 99.9%. In real life, the scores are much more average.

Is this the worst post ever?

This does not make sense (not for the statistical reason, though). On an anonymous board, how could it help to post that your anonymous average child got 99.9?

I think there are posters on these boards with a vested interest in scaring people off from applying to a given school (or a set of schools). Fewer applicants = better odds for their child.

Is OP implying that certain testers give higher scores? I can't think of any other reason to tie tester and score together in one thread??

Yup, OP seems to be hunting for a "friendly" tester. If such a thing exists (I'm skeptical as that would be a pretty significant breach of professional ethics), I can't imagine anyone would advertise their knowledge of it here since presumably OP's child would then get an inflated score that would minimize the impact of the other inflated scores the tester gave out. I'm a little disturbed by the post. I guess I shouldn't be surprised given the posts about prepping for IQ tests that have been on threads in the past, but still, this is icky.

I somewhat agree with OP. I do think certain testers consistently give high scores. That being said, I'm not going to publicly name the testers.

Right. That's like giving away gold. My best friends wouldn't give that up. Why should someone on an anonymous forum?
