my take-home went down by $12.00

Total for DH and me was about $300 less take home. DS just turned two so we were going to start saving $300 a month on daycare, so there goes that.

My take home went down by $50 this pay. So about $100 a month less. Not sure what of that is the FICA restoration vs. health insurance vs. charitable giving.

I recommend trying to work a little harder and getting a raise or starting a side business to generate savings.

Counting on the continuation of a tax holiday for your savings is a poor decision.

YIKES! Combined $500/mo.

We already had actually factored that in a while ago. This is why we has an AuPair starting next month, instead of a nanny. Between the hit we take and added employement taxes we would have to pay for her, might as well ship the job overseas.

Yes, Rich people's problems, but you don't stay rich if you don't economize.

Take home pay down $180 per month, DH probably about the same.

$360 a month after taxes -- that's a pretty big hit!

Down $125 per month on my income alone. It works out to under $30 per week, so I'll survive.

Ours is about the same.

Yuck. We are going to lose about $300 per month.

But none of this impacts the middle class, right? Hah.

Mine was the same because my office hasn't started using the new withholding tables.
