Daughter has outgrown Gymboree! Where do you shop for Size 14 girls clothes

Anonymous
Daugher is nine years old, and is wearing a child's size 12. She is 5 feet tall and wears a women's size 7 shoe. Where do I shop for clothes that are of good quality, classic and dont look to grown up. I used to shop at Talbots Kids until they closed shop. I'm now looking at JCrew (Crew Cuts). any other ideas, suggestions, recommendations? Then part two, where do I find classic women's shoes suitable for a nine year old? Help!!

Gap? Old Navy? Macy's? Lands End? LL Bean?

I was going to say Macy's too and my girls also like some things at JC Penney.

I would go with crewcuts.

Boden?

Oh, OP. I think this will be me soon. DD is in K with a size 4 foot and wears 8's. I already have trouble finding her age appropriate stuff that isn't super expensive.

I think Gap and maybe a 160 at Hanna A? Don't know if she likes that style.

Boden has a tween/teen line.

Abercrombie, while of course trendy, is also very soft and well made, and the deals you can get during sales make the clothes cheaper than "affordable" stores.

OP here, thanks so much. I didnt know Boden had a tween line. I love Crew Cuts. I never thought about Abercrombie. and I totally forgot about LL Bean. I'll check it all out. What about the shoes? Where do I get age appropriate leather shoes?

Try the juniors sections of department stores. Nordstrom has some age appropriate but cute juniors stuff.

My 14 yo niece asked for gift cards from Crew Cuts and The Gap for Christmas. Also, what about American Eagle?

Clarkes by Bostonian have some reat cute leather school shoes starting around $50 at the outlets. Great quality starting with size 5

I would definitely try Lands End. Their kids stuff runs large, and they have cute Mary Jane "Trekker" shoes that I think would look really cute on a 9 yo.

And 6pm. They do have a great selection with pretty reasonable prices.
