I thought that, even though Biden "beat" Palin by standard debate measures, Palin, by not pulling a Tina Fey, removed a major embarrassment from McCain and would bring the odds a little closer to even. However, judging by the most immediate measure, their share values on intrade.com, Obama has risen and McCain has fallen. In fact, Obama has just doubled McCain.

BTW, at the same time, people on intrade are betting, as I did, that it was less likely to help Obama than McCain.

I don't mean to imply that intrade is infallible, but I think it has a better track record than most polls, and it certainly gives faster results.
