I apologize to you. It is not fair. McCain should have consulted you. The embarrassment your people will feel tonight will no doubt cause mass depression, a run on bourbon and a sense of loss. OP didn't watch the Alaska debates- she did a good job holding her own. You don't like her policies, fine, but to say that someone is going to go running out of the room. Goodness, no wonder there can't be any real discourse in this forum between those with a liberal view and those with a conservative one. For once I wish someone here would talk about issues instead of going for the pedantic remark.

The problem is the apparent mismatch of what the job of VP entails and abilities Sarah Palin has demonstrated. Even with all the schooling and "experience" she has a long way to go to be able fill this big post. Presidents and Vice Presidents are powerful people, they have hundreds (if not thousands) of staff and great resources available to them not because they are someone people would like to share beer with or they wink at you and act cute, but because these posts carry with them enormous responsibility. The outgoing administration demonstrated all too well how people in these posts who aren't fit for this responsibility can lead the country to the edge of the disaster. I for one, want someone there who can think independently, elaborate on MANY complex issues, and know at least little something about everything: for example basic scientific knowledge to not doubt that global warming IS MAN MADE.

Right, and conservatives never resort to similar foolishness. If we're talking about liberals or conservatives as a group, y'all should watch out for those glass houses of yours.

I'm guessing there is all kinds of similar nastiness going on over at the conservative boards. Or do conservatives all sit around discussing the issues politely while they sip their tea? Not! (Still haven't forgotten the incredibly nastiness towards Hillary Clinton when Bill was in the White House.)

Granted, it's still not right, even if both sides do it but calling this typical liberal behavior when conservatives are just as guilty of it is just hypocritical.

BTW, I saw the Alaska debates and I knew she would do better than OP predicted and I said so and I'm a socialist.
