Why are people in Virginia so sensitive?

OK, I'm kidding.

Seriously, though. It's interesting that there is, in such a tiny geographic area, this territorial vibe between the two segments of the suburban metro area that on the surface of it may seem very similar. Yet, there are definitely some palpable differences in politics, culture, etc.

based on what? I never knew that the state in which you live made you more sensitive. Huh interesting.

It was in response to a post in the Maryland thread. Insider baseball. Sorry.

that river is a million miles wide to some people.

It's funny that I hear basically the same complaints about MD from my VA friends as I do about VA from MD friends.

I have always (50+ yrs) lived in VA and have worked in MD for 20+ years. Both kids went to MD private schools.

I like both places and am exasperated by both, as well.

Frankly, almost everyone in this area is way too sensitive.
