When does information about/applications for summer camps come out and where do I go to find it?

| I'd start with the 2012 roundup thread in the summer camps forum. You might also try to coordinate with other parents in your child's school. In our case, several of my parent-friends at our neighborhood school were sending kids to the local DPR camp, so we were very comfortable signing up for our child. |

| How old will your DC be this summer? There are a lot fewer camp options for the younger set. You may want to try the Washington Parent Magazine site, it has a camp guide. |
