Beach House Recomm. Needed

Where would be a good place to look for a summer beach home that is family friendly?
Thinking of Bethany or Rehobeth Beach and even Lewes but are we missing another great place that is less than 4 hour drive?

Does anyone have a favor place for the summer?

We recently vacationed on the Jersey shore and it was great. We went with my whole family, parents, me and my family , my bro and his family. Of course, after a week with your whoel family you understand why you don't live with them anymore (HA). The places there are Stone Harbor and Avalon which I believe are the nicest.

We own a 3 bedroom, 2 bath Condo in Sunset Island in Ocean City, MD. It's a privated gated community on 67th street bayside (just 2 blocks from the ocean). There is an indoor and an outdoor pool. The cafe/bar is open during the day and you can have lunch and/or drinks delivered to you at the pool. It's the feeling of being on the Islands and you only have a few hour drive. It's totally kid friendly and even has 2 private beaches. Our condo balcony overlooks a fountain. There is also an interactive fountain for kids and a bike/walk path. sandbridge beach in southern virginia. Just south of Va Beach. We go there at least once a month. Drive is very easy. Great family beach
