Has anyone used this doc at WHC for their NT or a CVS or amnio? I used Dr. Karson my first time, have heard great things about Dr. Thomas Pinkert, but my provider (at WHC) is recommending Dr. Fries. Since I'm indecisive by nature, I'm having a hard time deciding whether I go back to Karson (I liked her) or try one of the new docs - one of whom I know nothing about! |
She's wonderful-I highly recommend her. |
I saw Dr. Pinckert for NT and Dr. Gallagher for CVS (both at Greater Washington Maternal Fetal Medicine). They were both great. No complications or problems from the CVS. Go wherever you're most comfortable, but I don't have any qualms about recommending GWMFM. |
Dr. karson is great, had her for my first, but now she doesn't take insurance; dr. pinckert is equally great with a wonderful bedside manner, and he takes insurance and he give you quick results (FISH) -- 3 days versus 1 week -- 10 days for karson. i also had dr. pinckert deliver some devastating news and i have to say, i could not have asked for a better delivery/response/bedside approach from anyone. he and jill, the genetic counselor, were wonderful throughout. would definitely go back to him if i am lucky enough to get there again. good luck -- i think it's hard to go wrong with either. |
Dr. Fries is really wonderful. Knowlegable, skilled, with an amazing bedside manner. Patient with all my questions. Really, my ideal doctor. I have not actually had any procedures with her except u/s, but she has followed me since serious complications with my last pregnancy. |
