meant the prior one. but pure speculation whether property values will "continue to grow". Many reasons to expect they won't and overall would decline. as I've paid off my mortgage due to smart living I think it would be fine for property values to decline so I pay less taxes. schools are mismanaged anyway. |
There are barely any single family homes being built. MoCo's population is growing again after a pandemic dip. Feds are being rehired. A lot of the population growth is higher income people (the middle class is hollowing out). There is still a lot of pent up demand for SFHs from existing residents. It's basic supply and demand. |
LOL no. |
Ha ha you are right, many of them took the fork, found higher paying jobs and can't be brought back |
stop gaslighting the massive number of layoffs that have occurred in the area just to serve your talking points. it's offensive to the thousands of civil servants in moco. |
I am not even remotely denying that layoffs took place. That doesn't even make sense. How do you rehire someone that hasn't been let go? |
most recent jobs report has Moco losing more jobs than gained, due to government layoffs. and that doesn't include the eventual jobless claims from people on admin leave. |
of course you want to say it's all fine and no one's lives have been upended and ruined. disgusting. |
Btw while it is clear many feds and contractors (including friends of mine) have been laid off, the unemployment rolls data does not show anything that would form the basis for a massive housing downturn in MoCo. |
lol here come the hysterics do you even live here? I bet you love DOGE |
Many poeple will be without pay check in cominng 4-5 months. One Fed and one contractor lost job in our street.
Not sure if PP lives in this area. Massive job loss has taken place. It's not reflected in payroll data yet. It will show up. |
You’re the one echoing DOGE talking points. And did you read the WAPo piece on Feds killing themselves? Piss off calling people hysterical. |
Unemployment for MD ticked up, and employment rolls do indeed show more layoffs than new jobs for Moco. |
Sounds like you're trying to use suicide to change the subject from the fact that property values in MoCo are going to rise. Talk about disgusting. |
These unemployment numbers are very similar to levels we've seen just in the past few years, while property values have skyrocketed. |
