I paid for grad school (well the 25 percent of tuition my employer did not pay) on a credit card that was zero percent apr for 18 months. After those 18 months I still had about 3 k left on the card and I knew that my apr was about to jump to something like 18 percent so I went to the credit union and applied for a 3k personal loan. I got it at 4 percent. I paid off my card and I eventually paid of the loan later that year. It seemed like a win win. I was just buying time at the cheapest rate I could get.
