Weather watchers-Would you let your kids fly to Boston this afternoon?

Anonymous
For those of you more inthe know about weather-my kids are supposed to fly to Boston this afternoon withtheir grandmother, and drive 3 hours north into southern Maine. How serious is this storm?

I don't know about the storm, but in general I'd be more concerned about driving. They will ground planes if too dangerous. Who will ground Grandma?

Check the following:

Boston.com weather info.
WaPo Capital Weather Gang blog.

Right now it looks as though the rain/snow line runs right along 95 through New Hampshire, but southern ME is supposed to be above freezing starting in a few hours and running through the early evening.

I agree 100% that the drive is the dangerous part of the trip. Do you trust Grandma to have good sense and stop for the night if.conditions are bad?

I'm in Boston now. The snow is supposed to stay west of the city. There is only rain now in the area all around the airport and it seems that it will stay that way. I flew yesterday and bit was bad at BWI but fine here.
