Pinot noir would be acceptable with ham. A gruner veltliner, albarino, riesling or gewurztraminer might be ideal though.

Or a Chenin Blanc might be nice. From the Loire Valley if you like Old World style (minerally, not that sweet), or from California if you like a little more floral flavor.

Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc/Viognier blend goes with everything, and is around $15.
