| I was so dizzy last night I could barely walk or move my head without feeling like I was going to vomit. Then diarrhea and cold sweats hit... I didn't realize a virus could make you dizzy... Anyone else have this? |
| Haven't had that, but get your ears checked out. Ear infections can cause this. |
| yes. this is going around. my doctor said its probably a version of the flu. |
|
yes, I have that, and I wondered it it isn't a strain of the flu.
I wondered this because of the aches and cold sweats, which i never ever ever get. I prevailed over the dizziness I suspect by inhaling tons of nasal steroids to shrink my nasal passages and sinuses. You can acheive the same thing by using Afrin. |
PPs thank you so much! I don't know why, but it helps to know others have felt like this... The ped looked at my ears earlier this week (DD has been sick) and she said they were clear so maybe I have fluid in the inner ear and a virus... Today I ache everywhere and just want to stay in bed but with 2 littles ones I can't

| Sounds like a stomach virus to me. |
| It is not a strain of influenza. Influenza is a respiratory virus that comes with a high fever and cough. Other symptoms may be present, but without fever and cough, it's just not a flu virus. |

I've had a low-grade cold ever since Thanksgiving. Even after the worst of the cold went away, and I stopped coughing like a maniac, the dizziness set in. I mostly notice it only when I'm lying down or getting up, but it's very disconcerting.
Makes me want to go to my winter home in Eleuthera for the next month. Then I remember my kids have to go back to school after New Year's and I don't own a winter home. |
| Labyrinthitis -- virus in the inner ear. Gives you the spins, just like being really drunk. |
| Thank you PPs! |
| I had the same symptoms. Went to Dr. It was a sinus infection. One day on ZPak and I'm good to go. |
