Westbrook parents, can you think of any apartment building in your boundary area?

I have a friend moving to town for a 2-3 stint at NIH and she is interested in Westbrook. Because they'll be keeping their home elsewhere, they can only rent here and probably not a SFH rental but an apt.

Are there apartments in your attendance area? I cannot picture any but don't know the area very well.

What about the Irene and other apt buildings on Westbard? You'll have to check the boundaries.

I mean Willard. I think the westbard apts are wood acres. There are also apts at River and LF parkway. I am pretty sure they are on the BCC side of the line but not sure about which ES.

These feed to Somerset, which is also a lovely school. If they're interested in Somerset but that's outside of her budget, there are cheaper apartments along Bradley that also feed to Somerset.

Westbrook's boundaries are odd. I have a friend who lives in the building which abuts the Westland MS playing fields and they feed to Wood Acres, Pyle, and Whitman.

The Willard and Irene, etc. on Willard Ave. all go to Somerset.

My friend has the MCPS boundary map thing, but she can't figure out if there are in fact apartments in the boundary from looking at an aerial view Google map (she doesn't live here yet and so can't drive around).

I think kids in the buildings on Willard, as well as those at Little Falls and River, go to Somerset. My kids attended Somerset and had many classmates who lived in those buildings, esp. the Irene, the Elizabeth and the LF/River apartments.

Those apartments feed into Somerset. Somerset is an excellent choice.

Also, the townhouses off of Bradley Blvd between Wisc. and little falls go to Somerset, which is an excellent school as good or better than Westbrook (not to start a school war).

Westbrook parent here and no - I don't think there are any unfortunately.
