I know people are outraged and that is a good sign, but really don't feel threatened by the stage the NRA was given today.

Now everyone in America sees them for exactly what they are: a fear based group of extremists who's view of America is:

1) America is a scarey place full of mentally ill monsters
2) we should all arm ourselves against our neighbor
3) there should be armed guards at every public gathering place: parks, schools, the supermarket, the dentists office, on every train car , on every bus

This is their dream for America. This is how small their minds are.

I think its pretty crystal clear to every American that the NRA vision is NOT the country our ancestors fought and died for.

Any rational person can see the simple solution: do what Australia did: ban the semi-automatic weapons and their ammo, have a buy back program . They did this in 1996 and have not had ONE mass killing since. Not ONE.
