Christmas Eve dinner out with 3 YO and 1 YO

Anonymous
We'd like to go out for Christmas Eve dinner this year -- someplace a step up from Pete's or Guapos, but still ok for our (pretty well-behaved) 3 YO and 1 YO. I was thinking about trying the new Farmers Fishers Bakers near the DC waterfront. Would that be ok for kids if we made an early reservation? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Not a jerk. I'm a mother too and would never be this inconsiderate towards other restaurant goers, especially not on Christmas Eve.

Not everyone had beasts for children, sorry you do,

If you are going out to dinner at 6:00 pm, I think it is fair to expect (and deal with) kids there unless it is Komi or Citronelle or somewhere really upscale and pricey.

Christmas Eve is family time...anyone with an issue with family at a family restaurant needs to get laid and relax.

We had dinner with our kids (older) at Farmers Fishers Bakers tonight. It's pretty casual and noisy; I think younger kids would be fine. The food was only so-so, and the service was very disorganized (albeit friendly), but the kids' meals were free!

My immediate thought was that dinner out xmas eve with 3 & 1 year old would be my own personal hell, but that's just my kids

Really, my older kid loves to eat out, but I try to keep it toddler-friendly (pizza, burgers, tacos, etc). She would not go for fish, but perhaps your 3 year old has a more sophisticated palate.
