Dentist recs please

I am in desperate need of a good, nice mannered dentist. The last one I went to a yr ago was so rude! I am very overdue for a cleaning.
Please give me the name of your dentist. I need one who takes insurance and preferably in the friendship heights/close in Bethesda area. Thanks!

I was in a similar position and I can not recommend enough Dr. Ellen Malcomson in Bethesda. She doesn't advertise, but you can google to find the phone. The office is very old school. She did my cleaning herself and was just super nice, but very knowledgable. I totally trusted her judgement, she didn't push any work, she's conservative. Her equipment/office is dated, but I was totally fine with that, she makes up for it in being honest and just gentle. I hate going to the dentist, but am now seeing her regularly.

I'm the pp, she doesn't take insurance, but I really think in this area most of the dentists that are left that take insurance are the not so great ones or the ones that push all kinds of cosmetic stuff or work that isn't really needed. They will tell you the price of a cleaning before doing it. Almost all dental plans will reimburse the cost for cleaning etc.

Dr Saba Lakhani in Bethesda is AMAZING. Remembers DDs names, DH's name, my job, etc. and takes insurance!
