Costco Whole Beef Tenderloin

For the trimmed cryovac whole tenderloin, does anyone know the freshness dates? I'm making 2 of the whole beef tenderloins for New Years and wasn't planning a Costco trip before Dec 30, but now wonder if I should or can grab the beef sooner. Anyone know? Thanks!

I just bought 2 tenderloins from Costco today. The experation date is 1/12.

I totally don't understand your question OP.

You want to know how long the beef tenderloin is good for? But if you aren't going shopping until Dec. 30th, why do you care what the date is on stuff for sale today?

Also PP -- the expiration date was January of last year???

1/12 means January 12th. Expiration dates for things like meat, produce, dairy are typically in days, not months. Exactly how clueless are you?

I was just in Costco buying my beef tenderloin on Dec. 14 and I was able to find one with an expiration date of Dec. 29. Most of them had a date closer to Xmas. Will be making on Xmas day. Hope this helps!
