Soldiers are strictly supervised in the discharge of their assault weapons, but not gen pop!

The Bushmaster assault weapon is a military weapon suited for one thing: war.

Honestly, we DO NOT LET OUR SOLDIERS "CARRY" THESE SAME WEAPONS STATESIDE in a civilan setting, why the hell do we allow them to be sold to the public without ANY further supervision of their use once the customer walks out of the store ???

For all those Right wing gun toting NRA and GOA people out there: why do you not respect the basic safety precautions of the US military miltary ????

The military understands the dangers of weapons in the WRONG HANDS, which is why they SCREEN applicants, do back ground checks and , if you prove to be suffering from mental distress: discharge you from military service immediately( guns taken away)

Furthermore, soldiers are rigorously trained FOR MONTHS, also under supervision to see what kind of character they have under pressure, kicked out of the military and therefore their gun taken away if they are deficient in ANY WAY.

Lastly, soldiers are supervised in the discharge of their guns and ammo ( in battle) by a very strict chain of command, and if they, disobey orders, violate the honor of the military in their discharge of weapons, act like a nut case, they are demoted or kicked out, maybe even sent to prison.

It astounds me then, that the NRA and GOA ( Gun Owners of America) purport themselves to be so Red , White and Blue American, my country right or wrong, law and order, etc... but then are completely derelict in not only NOT supervising who buys guns, how and when they are used, etc, but in lobbying for absolutely NO leagl restrictions or supervison of guns whatsoever in a civilan setting. Why do they not heed the wisdom of our miltary in its monitoring and training and supervision?

Basically, the NRA lobbies for the gun manufactureres to be able to SELL TO EVERYONE so that these corporations can have maximum profits ( max sales) and THAT is the extendt of the NRA's advocacy. The NRA just pushes hard for everyone to have a gun, then does not care if you kill yourself, your mother, or 20 six year old children.

Now the parent company of Bushmaster has just sold its interest due to the bad publicity ( washed their hands, legally) I say , THAT should not be allowed. People need to file suit and do it today. The civilan sale of these weapons MUST BE BANNED and the companies prosecuted, sued, etc.. as well as their agents: the NRA .
