Best advice my DC got from the college counselor was to have at least 2-3 applications already in before the ED notification date. Not only does that lighten the load if you are deferred or rejected ED (given that the deadline for many schools is January 1), but she pointed out that kids don't necessarily do their best work when they have just been deferred/rejected. My DC was rejected ED and having several applications already in made a big difference. |

This probably won't help, but at least the school didn't reject you. Or the woman didn't say "you repel me." |
