New York City with 18 month old--things to do

Looks like might be going up for a business trip next week to New York City for a few days & thought I'd take my partner & my 18 month old DD...Any suggestions for things to do, things to see, and things to eat that are little-one friendly? TIA.

Central park/zoo, people-watching pretty much anywhere, toysrus ferris wheel, eating at ethnic restaurants, fao schwarz.

there is a children's museum on the west side -- it's ok, and there is a toddler area
